Ackman is a moron. He cared more about being right (and that is a technicality anyway) than making money. He could have switched from his shorts when nicely in the money and could have made shitload on the long side, saying, oupps, I was wrong, or just publicly abandoning his crusade against HLF. An announcement like that would have caused an immediate 20-30% jump right away...
Was this a Short Squeeze or fundamental change in outlook.
Herbalife built a palace and construction is hauling ass now! It's a rush to finish up their hideous landscaping, fill up the pool and spa, for their "Associates who are selling the most, it's their retreat and relaxation studio". Trucks are moving, landscapers are scrambling like mad. I wondered when Herbalife would finish their house and with all William Ackman's cash in their pocket, it's a done deal!

i used to think of ackman as my role model, but i cant believe he is now bitching about soros' stake moving the stock 10%, while he shouted out loud to the entire world about his short, which tanked the stock 30%+.
Where are all the posters who all of a sudden had a strong view that HLF was going to be shut down by the FTC?
