Help needed - I overtrade after 11am

I'm really pissed off at myself. I should write a book called The Undisciplined Trader.

For the umpteenth time I gave back morning profits................ Again. I'm a trading junkie. I did 75 round trips today, virtually all the ones after 11 were stop outs.

I really appreciate any ideas, especially from any of you who struggled with the same challenge and somehow made some progress.
I know how to make winning trades, and do so frequently. The big truth of the situation is that your trading odds are much lower after 11 a.m. most days, even if you're using the same strategies that have been successful before 11 a.m., and that's tough to reconcile.

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

2] TWO very different issues here:caution::caution:
[1]I'm somewhat of an action addict myself/
not all addictions are bad\if we are not addicted to water/we are dead ducks:D:D.:caution::caution::caution::caution:
[4] Four hour chart is amazing many times/\;
= pay attention to it ,not that its as good as weekly, its not.
5-7] LATE trades/invests can work vey well /longs for example.
[8] SSO profits got smaller, thats part of trend following, but 4 hour charts\no way i would buy that today, sold even though i had planned on profits ride, more. Could easy go up [since i sold/LOL] I'm not looking @ sso again today/ if my spxs finishes well or loses, i' doing trend study + SPY study
9]CUT size works well in trading unless winning.
[Even more important i have troUble making my 8 glasses goal ,water in winter; V8 + tomato liquid stuff helps my ''liquidity/LOL'']

I'm making progress..... thanks to many of you :D

eg I cut down on size and frequency of midday trades, which is helping!

GOOD trend:caution::caution::caution::caution:+:caution::caution::caution::caution:. NOT bragging, but i wanted to buy \bottom fish on SPLV/thur.
BUT 4 hour chart looks like a sell, SPXL also.
So i used an idea i got off elitetrader[IBKR simulator]; i paper traded with a fill/the worse HI of the day\LOL. NOT a big deal but it doesnt hurt my P+L today also.:D:D That trader that uses IBKR simulator notes he consistent gets the worse fills/LOL good trade idea.
NOT that i want to waste ink all the time with that, but i like the idea sometimes+ plenty inverse upticking real profits.

Watch "Inception". All my time alarms, play VERY specific music, according to my personal mood, which I have carefully chosen.

Ken, things get even more strange and beautiful, once you truly get there...

When I wake up:

I ended up doing just 5 trades a day. When I hit at least 2 PTs I am positive for the day. When I get hammered today, who cares, tomorrow will be a different day very likely. So I am fine taking higher risk combined with fixed PTs scalling out. It takes about 2 hours a day to accomplish on average sometimes less sometimes more ... the brain really needs some kid of support or "tricks" applied because otherwise it can go down the drain so easily. If I could not make money consistently with just 5 why would I do more? Always remind myself I do it for money money money nothing else

Just say no!

Don't trade after the morning prime time for three months and see how you do and how you feel.

There are no doubt a lot of pleasurable or simply just productibe things you can do with that extra time.

:caution::caution: THAT could work well.
But if he is like me, the 20or 30% or more trades/investments that happen with profit after noon [cst] can be profitable, so want some of those.[or 12;30 on a four hour chart]

Hey at least I learned, I did it right today. I overtraded mid-day as usual but very small 50 share trade round trips. Lost a few hundred in stops.

But I traded my favorite end of day pattern, uvxy, in size as much as 400 shares per trade and ended up in the money.

So that's one solution, if you're compelled to trade midday, trade very small size.

Look at the end of day UVXY chart and notice how similar it is to yesterday's UVXY end-of-day run.

That's my favorite most consistent pattern is end of day vix etn trades.

Who says they don't ring a bell at the top (or bottom)?

Yep, so true Ken! Trading very small size like this reminds me of the old trading adage, "focus on your losses, the profits will take care of themselves."

Best of luck in your trading!
