At the Black Live Matters protest police was much more violent and in much bigger numbers present than at Capitol Hill.
Capitol Hill should be a no go zone, each person that goes there without a permit should be shot. Not a single of the Trump rioters had to be in the Capitol Hill, so they could be shot legally. If the police does not eact like that, there will be a lot of invasions in futur. Rioters should not control the US, there are elections to show what you want. Trump condamned the BLM riots but instigated Trump rioters to attack Capitol Hill and the legal result of the elections.
About Intifa being the rioters:
the sjamaan of Qanon was clearly at the frontline of the riots and also inside Capitol Hill. Is he now member of Intifa? Politicians of the Republican party were filmed and recognized, are they now also part of Intifa? The woman that was killed INSIDE Capitol Hill was a fanatic Repoublican, also part of Intifa now? According to the brainless apparently they are. But you can make brainless people believe any statement. Like that lie that the elections were stolen.
On Russian TV is tell that Intifa was rioting. This shows clearly that Russia always supproted Trump as he is/was the best idiot they could dream of to manipulate the brainless crowd and to weaken the US. This brainless crowd is unforunatelly too stupid to understand that.
Russia had more control over ( the people who organized) the riots at Capitol Hill than Intifa had.

Let's be reasonable here. I live near DC, the mall is a vital part of the city for the people who live there. Any time but the dead of winter it's full of people playing kickball, ultimate frisbee, just sitting and chatting or reading. It's also a huge tourist draw with museums all around the capitol and visitors from around the world being exposed to our country and its history. And it's a crucial forum where anyone who wants to can protest anything they want to.
We shouldn't have to lose any of that and turn it into a place where you get shot without papers just because a group of deluded jackasses stormed the capitol building. That would be them winning, not to mention just plain fascist. I'd like nothing more than to see every one of the jackasses punished severely, along with Trump for egging them on and the huge group of Republicans who knew better and played along with this mass delusion of widespread voter fraud. But requiring "papers" to walk around in parts of a city where hundreds of thousands live and work and shooting people on sight....that's not what we are in any way shape or form.
Hint to my conservative friends....this is how you stand up to the extremists on your side, not remaining silent or even throwing fuel on the fire.
In 2020, Police Precinct Headquarters in Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland were stormed by force by hundreds of violent rioters and set on fire. AFAIK, nobody got shot and killed during these particular instances. Point being, it isn't beyond reasonable logic for Sir Paul Marshall (the subject of this thread) to call into question why five people were killed at the Capitol. To counter Sir Marshall, it must be stated that Capitol Security has been extensively trained and equipped for counterterrorism for 19 years now - so yeah, the reaction to a violent assault was almost certainly going to be met with deadly force.

I am not speaking about the whole city. I speak specifically about Capitol Hill, and what happened was more or less a coup attempt. We will see what will happen the next weeks.
We have a saying: bad doctors make smelly wounds.
Reacting too soft will cause much more damage.
I predict more riots and attempts to take power in an illegal way.
I am sure that not all 75 millions Trump voters agree with his behavior. If the Republicans want to survive as a party they will have to neutralize Trump forever. If this riots continue part of the Trump voters will not vote Republican anymore. We see already several high ranked people and staff members turn their back to Trump.
Being reasonable has to come from both sides. If not the reasonable get slaughtered. I did not see the last few months anything reasonable from the Republican side. People who don't understand the word reasonable should be treated differently.
I think that there are a few things that changed a lot the last few months, and the US will never be again what it was before, I think. The US is not united anymore, but split.

Attacking police stations cannot be compared with attacking Capitol Hill. But as I already told many times, a big part of the Trump voters have not enough brains to understand the difference.
What happened at Capitol Hill was nothing less than a coup attempt.
One policeman was killed by the rioters, not by Capitol Security.
One woman was killed by police.
Two people died because they were trampled by the rioters when they ran to Capitol Hill.
And one person died from a hart attack.
So these five deaths are not caused by Capitol Security. Three of them were killed by Trump rioters.
You should apply for a job at Trump's office. He needs, and likes, people who lie and twist reality.
