Hedge Fund Founder Paul Marshall Calls Pro-Trump Rioter’s Death ‘Murder’, then Deletes Tweet (Financial News)
The co-founder and chairman of hedge fund giant Marshall Wace, Sir Paul Marshall, tweeted that the pro-Trump woman killed by authorities in Washington amounted to “cold-blooded murder” hours after a mob of thousands stormed the US Capitol. The 6 January storming of the building, which saw four people lose their lives, brought a temporary halt to the formal confirmation of the president’s election defeat.
 
it was murder in teh sense that the woman did not attack the police officer. the officer could have retreated because they let them in the building anyway!! it was not a fire fight.

However she was in the process of a felony as well so they should be tired by a judge and jury law and order not police justice.

"Police Justice" goes unpunished in the US, since most juries acquit the police with a verdict of justifiable homicide. It is an acquittal even in cases where the criminal is running away and is shot in the back.
 
If I understand well, the second amendment gives the people the right to have weapons to protect themselves. Apparently you can even shoot somebody if he breaks into your house.
Especially Trump voters like this second amendment.

If now a police man is in the Capitol and hundreds of rioters invade the Capitol, the police man has also the right to defend himself and even kill the invaders if you follow the logic from the second amendment.
First the rioters break into the Capitol which is a criminal act.
Then they don't follow the instructions if police asks them to stay away from the window and to lay down on the floor. Again a criminal act.
The rioters caused all the problems and if they would not have broken into the Capitol, that woman would still have been alive.

The situation at the Capitol was completelly different. The rioters attacked the building and the policeman. Nobody was shot in the back.

You are correct. I did not offer an opinion on what took place in the Capital. I offered an opinion on the lack of consequences of "police justice " when it occurs.

It's too bad that someone feels compelled to stifle their opinion in a modern Western society.

There have been tens of thousands of rioters in hundreds of different cities in 2020 - and the police for the most part allow them to hurt people, kill people, destroy and steal property, and even to violently take over and occupy entire neighborhoods (CHAZ).

If you're OK with the police shooting rioters in the US Capitol, you should be OK with police shooting rioters in Seattle or Portland or Minneapolis or Los Angeles. But naturally we're going to be political hypocrites about it.

I say we need to define what a real riot is because throwing an empty water bottle isnt a riot!! even if it thrown at a out of shape ft policeman who probably needs a drink!

why stop at shooting looters.. the spoofers have cost our 401ks billions and why dont we shoot the corproate spoofers and the ceos of those trading firms and banks?

they are breaking the law too but guess what. the gov lets them steal from our money not day traders im talking the 20 trillion in funds that pay the HFT and spoofers and the bonafide hedgers who end up passing on those spoof costs to the global consumer.. i say we hang them and shoot them!! those crimes are costing BILLIONS a year in lost production and extra money and extra taxes but that is what it is about anyway.

the gov doesnt need to pass a transaction tax if on every transaction an HFT firm or spoofers makes money because then the gov just taxes that companies income and get the tax that way and that was by design. It looks like we dont have a transaction tax but we really do!!

The guaranteed gains for HFT and spoofer corproations is then taxed by the gov. so they get the transaction tax anyway~!!

it used to be wits and smarts not just highspeed and big money to front run and spoof but that is what it is!! no question and cops should not be able to shoot anyone in the middle of a crime unless it is a life ro death situation for them or someone else and i mean happening right now! that cop could have ran he was not protecting anyone! he just wanted to pop a cap.

those trump magat rioters were 1oox worse than any BLM that i saw and yet the magats came at the blm like they were burning down cities not one burned out building not 1!! all bullshit.

I would say the folks who were screaming about the evils of those causing violence in protests this summer who aren't screaming just as loud about the evils of this riot could also pretty fairly be considered the ultimate political hypocrites, don't you think?
Maybe right up there with the "states rights" folks who didn't make a peep when a bunch of Republican states signed amicus briefs on Texas' lawsuit to invalidate the votes of several other states? And said nothing about the votes of more than half the Republicans in the House to invalidate the legally determined electoral votes of states they do not represent? Who remained silent or even supported the idea that the Vice President could unilaterally override any and all state electoral votes?
And lets agree to a rule that each of us can only speak out about the evils of deficit spending as many times during the next 4 years as we did during the last 4? Seems fair, if hypocrisy is a concern, doesn't it?
