Heads up - TD Ameritrade glitch today. I just called; it's a known "system wide" problem. The rep assured me they won't take any liquidation action based on the erroneous balances. This is an account where I keep $3something -- it's showing a balance of negative $9something --

Did you get the situation resolved? I have been having issues with their margin system since they do not correctly calculate spread margins anymore when you have unmatched call and put spreads (IC's). I have also had issues with bad quotes leading to false valuations. On the day the SPX dropped 111 points a few weeks back, there were serious issues all over the place with nonsense quotes.

It corrected itself about half an hour later. This isn't the first time TD has been glitchy, but it's the most dramatic -- showing a "loss" of $13m.

At those sites, only the disgruntled post reviews. In general TD is very good.
