Okay, well I am not running a remedial course here.

But for starters, the federal appeals court struck down Obama's illegal, unconstitutional executive order attempting to place illegal aliens beyond enforcement even though he is bound by the constitution to carry the laws of the land into effect. A divided Supreme Court let appeals court ruling stand - ie. the executive order was blocked.

That is a great point, important to be cognisant of the difference and that they are not interchangeable terms. I'd say that is confusing a lot of Americans.

Okay, the court slapped Obama down and stopped his plans by finding that his "executive action" rather than his "executive order" was an unconstitutional power grab- if that works for you. And Hillary was the subject of a "matter" rather than an "investigation."

An executive order cannot reverse a law of congress which gives a little hint right there why he went with an executive action- pretending that he had some kind of undefined presidential power there. That's fine if you can get the courts to by it- and he couldn't.
