Why so ass puckered over SATs... it is just a standardized test.

Harvard still looks at GPA and quality of courses taken as well as recomendations and personal essays.. You are not getting into Harvard unless you are getting As in AP, IB or Honors Classes....

Only a safety school attendee would think getting rid of SAT dumbs down Americans...

That's the way admissions should be, but students having straight A's in AP courses are a dime a dozen to Ivy League admission offices. The tests are needed to set a few apart, and identify students from small town America who have potential that their local school system couldn't being out.

The tests are the friend of the little guy with aptitude. Take them away, and the door is wide open for children of alums, jocks, affirmative action, children of wealthy donors, etc.

If they used just grades and Act/Sat test scores the Ivy League would be comprised of mostly Asian, Indian and Jewish/Eastern European immigrants.

Asians at Harvard are more than their percentage of the US population.Whites and blacks are the ones being shortchanged with a much lower percentage at Harvard compared to their percentage of the US population.

Yeah, should be 60 % Asian

With blacks already only 6% they aren't getting cut any further so more Asians will come at the expense of whites.Good luck,white folks aren't going for that.
