Why? The case for reparations is meritorious and certainly has precedent. The injury of slavery, segregation, bias in state and federal law and policy was and is real. Regardless of generation, by all rites and tradition we can certainly compensate for injury.
Is it practical, I say no but as far as whether it will sink the movement to remove vestiges of slavers and symbols of slavery I don’t see that either.
The path we are on is the right path. Nothing is ever settled until it is settled right. No matter is you recycle old Dixiecrat arguments about culture and states right, the trajectory is against you.
