Half way through life and not close to being consistent

Another down trading week, finished the week negative 4k5 (aka -4494)
My pairs trades sucked big time today. This is almost a repeatable scenario, it seems like every time there's some holiday pairs get more out of whack before that. It really hasn't produced well lately, but the same can be said for all my trading.

Auto Trades: -4401
Everything else: -1773
 
Auto-trading sucks big time right now. I've changed it so that it won't open any new trades for the moment until this free fall stabilizes, it will only exit exiting positions.

Either way it sucks. Mine is closer to -6%.
My net liq on 7/31 was 460k (460688) and on 8/29 it was 440k (440592).
My starting balance for the year was 450k.
After today I'm approaching a loss > 13k for the year.

I'm very torn on a couple of things. One is my daughters adv math teacher but that's another story. The other one is my auto-trading. Based on the recent results, I've a hard time putting any money into it. It's been slightly outside of backtesting results and I should probably pull the plug entirely. Since I can't do it right away without a little bit more analysis, I've to limit new trades for now. It is @ 135 pairs trades currently open, I'm going to wind them down to probably 80 by the end of the year.
 
Trying something new here. For everyone but me, you should probably ignore these posts since my results are in the bottom 2% of elitetrader. However I'm hoping this helps me a little.
