300+ million people in the states are exposed to the normal flu every year. How many have been exposed to the H1N1 virus?Quote from Landis82:
I thought that I would highlight this part of the article so as to make sure that it is not "lost" in all of the H1N1 media hype.
Quote from IanMacQuaide:
My Brother in Law died of Swine Flu on June 9th.
In dealings with the local County Health Dept. Representative, a nice nurse lady, I was informed that the test for H1N1 is virtually worthless.
His first test in the hospital came back negative. Then when he died, the County and State got involved, tested him with 2 better more accurate tests, and sure enough, he died from Swine Flu (H1N1).
Problem was, he'd been to the ER, and his own Dr. twice each!
No one ever tested him for Influenza A (the over-arching test for Swine Flu), and even when his own Dr. made him go to the ER for a 2nd time, no one bothered to do a chest X-Ray to see how bad off he really was.
His wife is seeking legal counsel.
It's been a long strange trip.
Quote from 4444CJones4444:
You shouldn't need the vaccine, correct? Your body has produced the antibodies to H1N1 virus.
Quote from insider trading:
I don't know.My doctor said I should still get the vaccine when it becomes available
I'm guessing since I had it I would be somewhat immune, but if it mutates I wont.Again just a guess
That's just it Doc.Who knows?Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:
How have you and your family and the County and the State determinded he was exposed to H1N1?
And from articles I've read, Britain's drug stores (they call them Chemists) are out of masks, thermometers and sanitizing hand gel.Quote from Mr Pain:
The UK is in a near panic
â 110,000 new swine flu cases in England last week, based on data from GPs
â 150,000 people obtaining Tamiflu without seeing a GP since last Thursday
â 51% to 53% proportion of children reporting side-effects from taking Tamiflu
â 1 in 158 people in England have contacted their GP with flu-like symptoms since outbreaks began. The rate is 1 in 77 for children aged 1 to 4
