Garmin, for its part, has been buying Tele Atlas shares but Financial Officer Kevin Rauckman did not say when or how many.

"We are familiar with the disclosure requirements, as those are needed we'll comply with those requirements," he told Reuters in an interview. Stakes in Dutch companies of 5 percent or more must be reported to Dutch market regulator AFM.

You know what's funny... Garmin bought a bunch of Teleatlas shares before they made an offer... so this could all be a brilliant pump and dump... haha. If Tomtom makes a larger offer they're just going to cash out and if they don't they'll win the bid....

I bought back in today... Garmin seems like a coiled spring... yesterday it jumped up 6% for no real reason... there's a lot of shorts that are going to have to cover
