Kunty getting bitch slapped by TT.
Typical liberal...all hearsay, no facts.
Typical liberal...all hearsay, no facts.
I read this story in a news magazine like twenty years ago so no I don't have a link.
And the rumor about Allen serving federal prison time sounds like some made-up bullshit.
As I already said, I don't have a link. It was a hardcopy magazine. I believe what I read and I didn't lie about what I read but there's no way to link you to it so forget about it.Ok, so where is the story or backup that shows the black guy and Tim Allen getting busted? Back up your claim, dude. You say they both got busted for the same crime and got different sentences. Support it with some evidence.
You're sure? As you like to say, where's the evidence? That link references an Opinion article in the NYT that even admits that not enough data was examined for a full conclusion, and that it warrants an additional study. It does not provide any examples of any cases reviewed, just a bunch of claims where "Researchers estimated that, throughout New York State, about 4,000 African-Americans and Latinos are sent to jail each year for crimes and circumstances that do not lead to jail terms for whites." Would be nice to see the research, or at the very least, some examples. I'm not saying it doesn't ever happen (there could be judges with an axe to grind) but I'm sure there are black judges out there that rule harshly on white people because of some personal vendetta, too.
Yes, let's all pretend like there's no racial disparity in the distribution of crack versus powder. On second thought, let's not. From the article: " There is no class of drug that is as racially skewed as crack cocaine.". Did you actually read the article or did you just go for the knee-jerk attack? Don't bother answering, I'm pretty sure I know which one.LOL! The second article doesn't talk about racial disparity at all, just the difference in how drugs themselves were penalized. Did you even read that article before using it as evidence??
Are you trying to suggest that whoever wrote the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 could foresee that it would impact blacks far worse, and that's why they wrote it and politicians passed it??
https://m.sst.clas.asu.edu/node/5948This is a link to an amazon book with no information on claims anywhere on the webpage. Short of going out and buying the book and reading it to see whether it makes sense or not, this does not support your claim
Not factual claims, you can't. Any other facetious claims you want to make?I can show you links to Amazon books that claim Santa Claus is real.
As I already said, I was unaware of Allen's 1978 bust for cocaine distribution. I was referring to an earlier bust for simple possession where he went to rehab. It happens a lot in Michigan where arrest records for first-time minor offenses are expunged once the sentence, usually community service or in Allen's case, rehab, is completed, so no surprise there's no internet record. No smoking gun, no story. Of course getting caught with 650g is an entirely different matter.RUMOR?
On October 2, 1978, Allen was arrested in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport for possession of over 650 grams (1.43 lb) of cocaine. He subsequently pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges, and provided the names of other dealers in exchange for a sentence of three to seven years rather than a possible life imprisonment. He was paroled on June 12, 1981, after serving 2 years and 4 months in Federal Correctional Institution, Sandstone in Sandstone, Minnesota.[15][16][17] Allen had the Federal Bureau of Prisons Register # 04276-040.[18]
FACTS are not rumor ... you and dbgarland need to accept facts for once in your life.

Getting back to the larger issue of widespread unequal sentencing ...
You're sure? As you like to say, where's the evidence?
And your misrepresentation of the study as merely opinion is duly noted.
