I don’t see them raising rates much more than what they did already. Once they start easing again, the likes of Nasdaq will go up 1000 points in a single day.
They desperately don't want to raise rates. They will avoid it as much as possible and do it as slowly as possible.
They are still hoping inflation will top out and start heading back down.
But if inflation remains high they will have no choice but to raise.
They have no choice unless inflation miraculously falls back, it may because raising rates to just 1 to 2% could be enough to cause a recession.
