Losers is such a harsh word and words hurt.
It would be much more politically correct to refer to them as long term investments.
Because high rates will kill economy. Look for how long rates were low, there is a simple reason for this.
Inflation also kills the economy. Pick your poison, the economy is in trouble.
that is true. Because I think QE is here to stay, they simply can’t stop it, they can temporarily suspend it, but only to restart it again. What Greenspan did in the nineties, I can’t see happening now, people are overly leveraged and at low rates now.
Oh well. I have lived through all sorts of crises that were supposed to bring ruin and destruction (20% interest rates in the 80's) and so far we have survived in spite of ourselves. This too shall pass.
It is rather dodgy now though, with China and Russia situations, this situation is quite unique compared to what was happening prior.
