There's a classic South Park episode.. where PETA is forcing the school to stop using Cows as their school mascot name. After possible changed names are submitted, it boils down to a runoff election between Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich. Kyle doesn't want to vote when those are the only 2 choices, so is banished from the town.

At some point, Kyle asks "Why do I have to vote when the choice is between a Douche and a Turd"? The wise man's reply, "It ALWAYS boils down to a choice between a douche and a turd... as they are the only ones who suck up enough to get that far along in politics."

That would be really funny if not so true in America... right now.

Ryan prefers conservative debate within 'family'

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Paul Ryan says he was frustrated with conservative groups that protested the bipartisan budget deal he helped engineer.

"The House Budget Committee chairman tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that these groups are "very important elements" of the conservative movement. But the Wisconsin Republican says such discussions should be kept "within the family."

"Ryan says he and House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio were frustrated that the groups voiced opposition to the budget agreement before it had been reached.

"The 2012 GOP vice presidential candidate says he shares the same goals as the groups — trying to balance the budget and pay off debts without raising taxes. But Ryan says they sometimes differ on tactics.

"Ryan says the compromise agreement is an important first step."
 
he may not feel like he is one but his remarks seem to be coming from a turd sandwich...

I doubt they will even repeal obamacare if they take but the house and senate. They could vote to not fund it now.

I thought the plan does cut spending, by keeping half the sequester cuts in place. And the revenue increases are fairly trivial. Altogether this budget is expected to decrease the deficit further. So what's wrong with it?

1. i read they took the 65 billion in sequester cuts that were happening now and replaced it with fee increases and cuts that are mostly scheduled to happen in about a decade.

they undid the sequester in one year. they are going to follow cuts 10 years from now?
