Goodbye 2022 -- and good riddance. Markets close out their worst year since 2008

Remember what I said 2 years ago that we would never revisit the ATH, comparing it to the Japanese stock market? I spoke prematurely at that time, but I have a feeling 2021 ATH might turn out to be a zenith for a very long time. I just feel the world economy has really changed within the last few years. American supremacy is slipping and I don't believe it can support the world economy by importing goods from around the world as it used to. Also pandemic will be more rampant in the future bringing the economy down to its knees.

It's all a speculation for now, but one thing is for sure. The market ain't gonna get the same free pass they've enjoyed for the last 13 years.

so many variables

now US government refuses to give even hint of any fiscal discipline and it feels like it went all in but they have good hand.

currently US gets huge dividends on war in Ukraine. bringing russia on its knees and stripping europe of its industry. Absolutely brilliantly used stupid ukrainians to achieve multiple policy goals.

future looks promising if you're in US. it may translate in some lowere inflation for at least several more years and market might burst into ATH in case of Russias decisive lose next year

although if Russia goes all in and nukes white house we have a different forecast then

15% down constitutes the worst since 2008....this should tell everyone that we have a long way to go down further. Most companies are still pathetically overvalued.

Goodbye 2022 -- and good riddance.

Goodbye 2022 -- and so sad to see you go.
ES closed out with a decent average day range of 80 points (2%) vs 50 points (5%) in 2008 : trader

I would as daytrader sign immediatelly for a year like 2022. One of the best years thanks to the high volatility.
