Goodbye 2022 -- and good riddance. Markets close out their worst year since 2008

And people called me crazy last January on the spx prediction thread

That is now a permanent feature of the stock market. Never again will the ES be stuck in a 5-10 point daily range. EVER. That has not happened since Powell took the helm in Feb 2018, and is ancient history. Even more pronounced after we got the breaker-shocks of COVID Spring 2020. Damn, that was a real trip! (Get it? Trip? Tripping? Hahaa!)

Your huge range days are here forever. That is my personal guarantee.

I wish this was true but eventually vol will die and ranges will constrict. Hopefully not to the single digits

Remember what I said 2 years ago that we would never revisit the ATH, comparing it to the Japanese stock market? I spoke prematurely at that time, but I have a feeling 2021 ATH might turn out to be a zenith for a very long time. I just feel the world economy has really changed within the last few years. American supremacy is slipping and I don't believe it can support the world economy by importing goods from around the world as it used to. Also pandemic will be more rampant in the future bringing the economy down to its knees.

It's all a speculation for now, but one thing is for sure. The market ain't gonna get the same free pass they've enjoyed for the last 13 years.
