Good way to find stocks forming chart patterns?

I love to trade various chart patterns (flags, pennants, triangles, head and shoulders, cup and handle, etc), but sometimes it can be difficult to find stocks. I generally simply type in symbols and try to find them manually. I've tried various screeners (thinkorswim, finviz) but the "patterns" they find are usually weak at best. I suppose it's challenging to teach a computer something that's more visual. In some ways the 'art' of trading is not dead. Does anybody know of a good way to find stocks forming chart patterns?

Thanks in advance and happy trading :cool::cool:

This one is free predefined scans, however if you subscribe to stock charts then you can write your own technical scans:

How do you trade the trend? You trade QQQ exclusively?
%%
NO,Ja80, but QQQ has been + is still a great benchmark. On QQQ + related, study a lot of stuff/trends; +200 day moving average , generally. QQQ can go up 80% or down 80%+/ -it has before .And Stock Traders Almanac, can help.:cool:

Thank you so much Nobert,

How do you decide which stocks are decent for swing trade? There is so many to choose from. I would like to swing trade stocks atleast above $30 or so.

Actually it better to find good volume stocks from $5-15 and if optionable even better, but it you just looking for capital appreciation and getting percentages, less it better. Something moves 50 cents can be over 10% move.

ifs

Don't make it complicated, if 100sma going through middle of bars, most likely trend changing.

Not sure if scans work with real time intraday charts but you can get as complicated as you like with EOD data. Very good program.

I find that swing trading with stocks in one of the most challenging techniques to trade. Swing trading is much easier with currencies, as volatilities are higher than with stocks. However, good charting tool and good knowledge of technical analysis is always helpful
