Good way to find stocks forming chart patterns?

I love to trade various chart patterns (flags, pennants, triangles, head and shoulders, cup and handle, etc), but sometimes it can be difficult to find stocks. I generally simply type in symbols and try to find them manually. I've tried various screeners (thinkorswim, finviz) but the "patterns" they find are usually weak at best. I suppose it's challenging to teach a computer something that's more visual. In some ways the 'art' of trading is not dead. Does anybody know of a good way to find stocks forming chart patterns?

Thanks in advance and happy trading :cool::cool:

Jalee I trade chart patterns all the time but I'd never think of using a computer program to screen them for me.

You need a good charting software package where you can easily mark up your own charts with various analytical tools and then train yourself to be able to flick through your own marked-up charts to identify patterns in a discretionary way by eye.

Once pattern recognition software becomes widespread (if not already) then retail aren't going to have any edge. Programmable screening for patterns will erode any edge away. That's why I rarely trade pennants and similar these days but prefer to interpret charts using combinations of TA techniques that still need the human brain to see.

I absolutely agree,

yet, e.g finviz.com,

those ones, are real mess.

And on some stocks ( sadly i haven't made a screen & forgot the name ), candles didn't matched,

on finviz daily, compering with my TDA daily.
