I speak Russian. So - Telegram channels reporting on the war. Not Russian-based ones, obviously, because of the recent law even ones that were somewhat even handed switched to be hardcore Putin propaganda.

A NATO offensive is totally different from a NATO defensive. Maybe you should look up NATO and see why it was formed in the first place. many republicans are in favor of a weak nato and many republicans support Putin’s war. So it’s possible Biden will be hampered in leading nato to do something meaningful.

The short risk is they replace Putin. Super risky...but if some of the red square ivory tower realizes that Russia takes decades to fully recover from all this...it could happen. Slim chances but I couldn't go to sleep tonight being short. That would be one of those "rip your face off" rallies that we get when the totally unexpected happens.

The significant oilnrally and drop in markets is what is keeping the fed up tonight and the rest of the weeks and months ahead. They can't raise rates now and if they do and the markets take a complete dive on the continuous geopolitical nonsense along with slowing world wide economies the fed will back track any future Rate hikes and subtract any previous ones they already made.
The fed already admitted finallllllly that they waited too long to raise rates.

But yes it's tough to go long or short in this volatility!!!
