Yeah, your probably in NYC more than I have been lately-- I miss living near by!Quote from Maverick74:
Surf, the bar service is closed on the roof of the Peninsula but you can still go out there and enjoy the view. Just dress warm!
As for the TKTS booth, the line is not that bad. If you are pressed for time obviously one should skip it. But I use to buy a lot of tickets there and it usually went pretty fast. But to save $100 to $200 it's worth it!
It's too bad the Rainbow Room is closed at 30 Rock. That was a really nice place and great view. And of course the Tavern on the Green as well.
I heard tavern on green was reopened or reopening soon---
For the OP-- if your wife wants an interesting shopping experience go to canal street. It's where they sell all the counterfeit stuff. Go down west broadway in soho, past cipriannis on your right, then make a left onto canal. The things you find there are amazing. Show respect and shop owners will show you their secret rooms full of fake treasures.
By the way, Mav, what's the word of you moving to NYC help out RH?
