Question is not whether or not climate change is, and has always been (since well before the use of carbon based fuel) real. It's whether or not it's anthropogenic. That's the real debate here. Temperatures have been much higher previously in recorded history. Yet, we're all still here, and doing okay for the most part...

The United States government will always "need" more, more, more. This arbitrary theft from the people will stop one day. Maybe not in your lifetime, but one day the people will say no more! (We gotta have a balanced budget amendment.)

Now, as to the topic of the thread: (and excuse me for being on topic) If you believe global warming isn't real, then I can only assume that you do believe in the Tooth Fairy.

According to my link, which is about the flat tax, if you eliminate the EITC that means an even BIGGER increase in taxes for almost everybody.

Again, a graduated/sliding scale (ie. a "progressive" tax system) is not a flat tax.

Technically no but now we're just talking semantics. I've maintained pretty much from the start I have no issue with a sliding scale.

Nothing wrong with you wanting a simplified tax system -- in fact there's many good reasons why a simplified system would be a good idea...

This is clearly true. I only work with systems that change on a daily basis. I fear change, and fire.

I'm not sure how you read that into my posts when clearly my posts were communicating that I think it is a good idea to allow bears to marry.

By the way have you explained why ice core studies show temperature rise precedes CO2 accumulation.

I don't understand why they aren't paying taxes - like the rest of us. Maybe not 17% but they should be paying something.
