After watching "Trader" with Paul Tudor Jones, there is a scene where he wakes up at 5am to trade currency/gold.
Anyone do this and find it advantageous ?
Is there an edge in watching the market in the early hours when Asia closes ?
Talking about 24 hour markets obviously.
5am NY time is only 10am London time
I have woken up at 8am London time to trade and usually the big daily move is about to happen.
You can do it when your young, no family and no other obligations. Other than that, you may be able to do it if you have no obligations on particular trading days. In contrast, if you're older, family or have other obligations...you're just going to eventual burn yourself out or cause a lot of stress with your personal life.
I know a few guys that were so serious about trading that time period...they relocated to a time zone more suitable to trading those markets...gotta do what's needed if serious about a particular market.
