George Bush, GOP Turn to Socialism

Quote from clacy:

I am actually fairly encouraged by Ron Paul's staying power. He has actually done OK in the early primary voting. Considering he was completely unknown and the media and Republican party has a big distain for him. Hell, even Fox News tried to bar him from the SC debate.

I will continue to donate money to his campaign, even though he has absolutely zero chance of winning the nomination, if for nothing else than it helps get the message out.

Atta Boy...

It's amazing, isn't it... how not 1 in a thousand Americans recognize that Obama* is 10,000 times the risk to them than Osama ever was.

* and all the rest of the RepubliClown and DemoCrap politicos

funny joke i read today:

What did the republican national committee say to chelsea Clinton when she went to interview them for a story?

"We're afraid of three things:

obama, osama, and yo' mamma."

:D :D :D :D

""The only differences these days are rhetoric and path. The final destination is the same for either party.""

gnome, that's the best political quote I've ever read regarding our political system.

Quote from mtwokay:

When libs recommend doing the same they're helping the economy but when Bush actually does it, he's buying votes?

Do I need to recalibrate my double standard meter to go + with libs and - with repubs?
Heres'a recalibration exercise for you. While republicans generally oppose social programs, they characteristically demand on having their more stupid investments subsidized with artificially lower interest rates. For the good of the economy, of course. :p (Quick, someone get a flag.)

Quote from crgarcia:

Reducing taxes is a capitalist measure.
Rising taxes is a socialist measure.

Pretty easy to understand, unless you're politically biased.

Democrats: Tax and spend

Bush: Just Spend

Quote from Eliot Hosewater:

Democrats: Tax and spend

Bush: Just Spend

Almost...

Bush = "Borrow and Spend"....

Result is the same... eventual bankruptcy of the middle class.

Well, Cheney did declare, in no uncertain terms, that deficits (and therefore, presumably, the accumulating national debt that follows) don't matter. Evidently, this is a Bush Administration guiding principle. So, let's summarize:

Deficits don't matter.
The environment doesn't matter.
The truth doesn't matter.
Cutting edge scientific research doesn't matter.
The true underlying health of the economy doesn't matter.
The people don't matter.

But religion? Oh, that matters! Jesus speaks to George, don't you know. Surely you are not suggesting that we second-guess God, are you?

Unfortunately, this is a sad, SAD point...

A few years ago, some DUMBASS politico mentioned, "... deficits don't matter... Reagan proved that..." Well, he was totally FULL OF SHIT!

Wake up son... the ONLY things that matters to the Federal Politicos are (1) they stay in power, and (2) they get to milk the American people for all they've got.

I know that's harsh and blunt... but you'd better acknowledge it and act accordingly if you have any intention for personal survival or the future of your children.

Cheney matters. Haliburton matters.

Skrew your fellow man...hail (haliburton) hitler

The Bush administration is as extremist as Osama Bin Laden.....Anyone see the 60 minute interview with Iraq's deposed ruler. He was anti-Bin Laden, and anti-Bushes. Pro other US presidents....And the dictator was?

Gnome, you realize, of course, that I'm in complete agreement with you.
