George Bush, GOP Turn to Socialism

Quote from vhehn:

bush isnt giving out money for nothing. he is buying votes right before an election.

ABSOFRICKIN'-LUTELY!!

Them lying, thieving bastard SOB politicians will do absolutely ANYTHING to get into power (and control of the public purse) and/or stay there.

They have no moral compass.. no conscience.

When libs recommend doing the same they're helping the economy but when Bush actually does it, he's buying votes?

Do I need to recalibrate my double standard meter to go + with libs and - with repubs?

While the afore mentioned move should infuriate fiscal conservatives, I think the Repubs stopped caring about them how many trillions ago? I agree its buying votes.

Oh Hell no... just tar them all with the same potlicker's brush. The only differences these days are rhetoric and path. The final destination is the same for either party.

The Dems seem to like the idea of it, except for wanting all of it to go to the non producers to encourage them to produce less.

Educate us then, why in the former Soviet Union and in China before 1990's, there were no taxes? Taxes were only imposed after both became true capitalist countries. Even today China still doesn't have an income tax. Why don't you move to China?
Because everyone worked for the government, which could paid them as low wages as officials wanted.

They just had to accept the low wages, they couldn't either emigrate.

See Cuba, MDs getting $30 per month!!!

I am actually fairly encouraged by Ron Paul's staying power. He has actually done OK in the early primary voting. Considering he was completely unknown and the media and Republican party has a big distain for him. Hell, even Fox News tried to bar him from the SC debate.

I will continue to donate money to his campaign, even though he has absolutely zero chance of winning the nomination, if for nothing else than it helps get the message out.
