Oh yeah, I like Robbie too. He's doing better this year (so far) w/ those DEI engines!

Celebrity Crew Chief for Robby at Vegas: To launch Harrah's Entertainment's premier event of the 2006 season with Robby Gordon Motorsports, nine-time World Series of Poker champion Phil Hellmuth, Jr., will bring his best bluff and tough call tactics to the No. 7 Harrah's team as celebrity crew chief for the 400-mile event in the Vegas desert. With Hellmuth by his side, crew chief Greg Erwin hopes to raise the odds for the team to cash in on their first win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sunday's UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 is the first event of the 2006 campaign where Harrah's will be the primary sponsor of the #7 Chevy. Jim Beam, Menard's and CarLoan.com will serve as associate sponsors.

Congrats to Scott Speed. 13th place in his F1 debut.

I was a Kart racer here in San Jose when he started his climb up the ladder as a kid. My first memory of him was he and his brother having matching mini driving suits with "SPEED" across the back. Until I found out their last names, I though it was pretty pompous. Turned out they were pompous (and Scott is more than a bit of an annoying a**), but Scott had the skill and determination to work his way up the ladder and there you go.

Goooooo Scott.
