Clene(CLNN)

Last but not least is Clene, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pursuing a unique track in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The company uses nanotechnology to treat bioenergetic failure, and underlying factor in many neurological conditions. The company is developing bioenergetic nanocatalysts, a new class of drugs, to ‘jump start’ neurorepair through an energy-enhancing bioenergetic catalysis. In short, the company’s approach is to improve bio functions at the cellular level, so that the body can repair itself.

Clene has four drug candidates it its pipeline. The leading one, CNN-Au8, is described as a concentrated nanocrystalline gold (Au) suspension that drives critical cellular bioenergetic reactions in the central nervous system. CNN-Au8 is undergoing several concurrent clinical trials, including a Phase 3 trial for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease) and Phase 2 trials for multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s disease. All of these are progressive, chronic, degenerative conditions of the neuromuscular system.

The Phase 3 trial of CNN-Au8 reached the 50% enrollment milestone during Q1. Full enrollment is expected before the end of this year, and topline data is expected to become available during 1H22. Further updates on the company’s various other clinical trial programs are scheduled for later this year.

This company went public in December of last year through a SPAC merger transaction. The merger, with Tottenham Acquisition I Limited brought proceeds of $31.9 million, and saw CLNN shares debut on the NASDAQ on December 31 at $9.01 per share.

In addition, although crystalline gold has long been thought to have metabolic activity, it is not until we’ve seen the convergence of deeply scientific knowledge of nanocrystal technology with management capabilities in neurobiology and drug development, that we’ve been compelled to consider the therapeutic potential of gold in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases," Duncan opined.

The analyst added, "Clene owns patented technology which enables gold nanocrystals to form into specific shapes that are particularly conducive to facilitating nanocatalytic activity and filtering toxic particles from the gold surface to drive differentiated clinical profile, potentially opening the door to broad deployment within medicine.”

Li Auto jumps as EV maker beats revenue expectations
Shares of Li Auto (LI) are on the rise on Wednesday after the Chinese electric vehicle maker reported better than expected first quarter sales but higher losses per share. Li said it expects to deliver 14,500-15,500 vehicles in the second quarter. RESULTS: Li Auto reported first quarter revenue of $546M, which was better than the expected $522.52M, and losses per share of (3c), with consensus at (2c). Vehicle sales accounted for roughly 97% of the company's total sales. The company also said that vehicle margins more than doubled year-over-year to 16.9%, but were slightly below the previous quarter at 17.1%. Li Auto ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash, time deposits and short-term investments of $4.63B. The company had previously disclosed deliveries of 12,579 in the first quarter, down from the 14,464 vehicles delivered in the fourth quarter. Li said it expects to deliver 14,500-15,500 vehicles in the second quarter. PRICE ACTION: In Wednesday morning trading, shares of Li Auto have jumped 16% to $23.17.<--------:thumbsup:
 
Gather round folks and let me tell a tale. There is a lesson to be learned here.

I have an ancient Chinese urn that I am strongly attached to.. It's a big pottery bowl. I won this at auction. One day drunk i battled hard and I won. It was expensive I think $3,500. It is from the Xing, Ming or Quing dynasty I probably have those wrong-- but it's old as hell and has dragons flying around on it and I had to have it. When I have bad days I look in the corner and I say I still have my old Chinese urn. I love it.

I have a large large dog. 120 + pounds of Rhodesian Ridgeback; when he barks you can hear it on the street outside three floors down and all the way to the diner on the corner. His bark echoes and rings and is piercing and actually hurts my ears. The other day he was barking and I thought: you know what? Instead of jumping up and screaming STOP STOP shut up, as i always do; I'll just sit at my desk and cover my ears... Well he barked and he barked and he hit a tone or pitch & I shit you not there was a clang and the strange sound of something breaking... Shattering.

Did you hear that? I asked my wife.. sounded like glass breaking, she was checking her watch and shaking her hand. and we looked around and couldn't find anything at first and then I slowly looked down at my dear ancient Chinese urn with dragons and there was a huge Hole blasted out of the side. You can put your fist through the hole it's that big and it has not been previously broken, no glue... Bacchus' bark blew it out.

After all these hundreds of years on this earth... after surviving China and export to America and after being jostled on decks of ships and stepped over in raging wars, after being fought over at Doyle auction house and after making it finally to my house where it belongs. Now it breaks.

I'm still processing this. My dog's bark broke my ancient Chinese urn.

Damn that sucks. It's only fitting that the urn will now be utilized for Rhodesian's ashes whenever he perishes.
