I'll post the CC later on 8X8 What a great call! many big wins and some that really interest. (like Ryan Air!) Tapping into MSFT TEAM now and getting wins that way. They have cash they are approaching positive earnings that won't be slowing down any time soon. Costs are reigned in.

What I really liked-- They talked about uncertanties of Covid and STILL gave a view! OK! I like that. Plus the new CEO this was his first call and I wanted to get a feeling _ I love this guy! A real plane talker, even if I only understand half of what he is saying he sounds extremely competent and all the analysts knew him from prior jobs as CEO and everyone seemed to think VERY highly of this guy. This company is going in the right direction.
Now will the stock price.?

So I did do a tiny bit of DD on this thing.
Its like a Zoom stock. Video conferencing etc... encrypted, plus a bunch of other things.
They even have a business phone deal on their website. Its like $10.99/month.
How much is GBA paying for phones btw?

That huge jump in the stock on 12/10.... was that because they named the new CEO?

All things considered from a quick precursery glance... as these type of stocks go... its cheap.
I'd like to see that gross margin higher. It is a software company afterall.
But I loved the price/sales ratio. Like 7.
No debt really. Just a teeny bit.
The play here is a buyout.
Just like Slack.
This one is 100% on the "Ideas for Now"/2021 Stock Phantasm watchlist.
Its a good find Stoney.
That high short interest complicates things however.
Lets just sit on our hands for now and watch.

Sipes was most recently COO of RingCentral, where he led go-to-market, product, and engineering and was instrumental in the 12-year growth trajectory of the company from $10M to over $1B in revenue.

Lets talk about the market. Oh Boy. There can be no doubt that we are at a top. A top we are at .
Any long term five year thinking cannot assume a very good return. We should be looking at emerging markets (Maybe not Vietnam though they seem to have stubbed their foot Van) but usually non sexy emerging market stocks are the place to go where you might grind out a positive return of 7% vs losing money in the US.
What about all the cash on the sidelines and that unlimited fed support? Where are those over confident TV heads who always say don't Fight The Fed where are they now? Can't get them on TV. I have NEVER agreed with that thinking. That being said I see some positives that could drive a last spurt on the market. And the Fed or SEC could step up and help out a lot.
One positive is less tax burden from Biden. I don't see them doing ANYTHING to capital gains now fearing it could start a selloff... So this may just be taxes on the ultra rich which is good and hopefully on transactions,,, You got to nail these free traders & speed traders.
Also SPACS I fear is part of the problem I'm angry at myself for getting pulled in but after missing so many IPO's that sky rocketed one felt maybe the SPAC was a way for the average guy to participate in a new idea but of course it's dirty as heck and these guys are scraping out 20% and running after the first few weeks of being anew company... Still there seemed a logic of catching these seeds in the incubating period just before it transforms and starts trading with a new symbol.... That's what Got me into BFT....
I regret not looking at the bigger picture which is all these Spac's are just more IPO's and added to the recent huge ones the market digested it's just too much.
So Could We Clamp Down on SPAC's and how can we when I don't think we have ahead of SEC now do we? That's a Biden appointment that has not been ok 'd by Congress... RECKLESS!

I sold a bunch this week when I could because i felt uneasy, but can an argument be made that this is just some turbulence because of the WSB unsettling people and it will even out? that the underlying idea is still there (vaccines, pent up demand, lots of new investors using apps). I don't know.....just throwing it out there.
about to research my new stock *Nokia* and see if there might be an opportunity if they do have an actual turnaround story. maybe the price plummets when WSB gives up on it and there's a good entry point? i did not buy what i have now at a good entry point, that's for sure.
