PureCycle Technologies shares jump after Ironton plant reports first resin production

  • PureCycle Technologies (NASDAQ:PCT) said Tuesday it successfully produced the first run of Ultra-Pure Recycled (UPR) resin from post-industrial recycled material at its Ironton plant in Ohio.

  • Once fully operational, the Ironton facility is projected to have an annual production capacity of 107 million pounds of UPR resin.

  • Shares +10.5% at $8.77 after hours.<-------:)

Pretty big move today. Yesterday too. Especially for a stock like this. With volume. They're saying it's because of the heatwave in Texas.

Now I've watched this stock for years thru multiple hurricanes, rolling blackouts, CA wildfires, etc. and it just doesn't move like that in one day outside earnings or some kind of corporate news ; which begs the question.... why did it?

Could it just be the chance of Putin possibly attacking and disabling that power plant, or could it be more? A desperate Putin planning a cyber-attack on the US? Or maybe it's nothing, the stock was $300 a year ago. Either way, I doubt the move was because of traders playing the heatwave in TX. Not with that much volume the last few days.
