BIGGER PICTURE-

We have a friend who teaches yoga stuff, wellness etc. She has thousands of followers on Instagram. She has been in the business 25 years so her mailing list is pretty huge. My wife estimates 100,000.

She was hacked. And a creep demanded ransomware!

Her website is disabled. If you go there nothing. All her contacts (including 2 super duper rich dudes) are missing and the ransom is ridiculously cheap- $800.

Instagram is no help at all.

This all happened thru Insta's back door. Got her personal phone number from insta and is calling her on burner phones this is scary.

THIS IS OBVIOUSLY THE AWFUL FUTURE WE ALL FACE AND I WANT TO BACK UP MY COMPUTER RIGHT NOW! IT'S BEEN ABOUT 5 YEARS.-!

Q- These cyber security stocks.. no help at all. Who handles the very lowest end?

It used to be Nortan kind of..... lifelock but you can't lock away an ongoing business... so who can help the average person on Instagram etc. Who can protect them from this sort of ransomware? What can you easily install to restrict this? At not a great cost.//
Why do you think the Jan 2024 $250 Puts on SPY cost $2.50? Because if they can hack into friggin' Instagram, its probably pretty much safe to say nothing is safe.

I mean come on, Instagram(?!)... it's owned by META. Unlimited budget and access to the best and brightest tech minds in Silicon Valley. They're the gate-keepers if such a thing exists and I would venture to guess that comparing Meta's cyber-security to most of our government agencies'... is like comparing a 2023 TSLA Plaid to a 1987 Grand Wagoneer.

Think about it. The open interest on those puts should be in the 10's of thousands. Pennies in front of the steam-roller. What are the odds of a 40% drop in 12 months? Nil? Sell the puts! And yet those puts only have an open interest of 1800 contracts, and that's not because few people think it won't happen and won't buy them, ... its because the whales are afraid to sell them and go naked. Even when the bid is $2.50/contract. Why is that?

And it's not only our government, more importantly it's our supply chain.
We take soooo much for granted. People are clueless. Our supply chain is as delicate as a baby Swan. One week of empty store shelves, and there will be havoc; one month and it'll be Mad Max and the Thunderdome.

Can't happen? Well... you're "The Option King" Stoney, juggling several million dollar plus accounts... why not sell 2000 naked $250 puts on the Jan 2024 SPY, pocket 1/2 million, and take the year off? Free money.

I think it's a go!
What say you?
Ya know I glanced over McCormick's cc transcript this weekend, after that lousy quarter.. and the CEO specifically said that one of the reasons for the bad quarter was that many of the company's products were still on "allotment" , meaning they have to kind of limit the amount each retailer gets, like say (just a random example) Krogers wants 50,000 cases of Lowrey's, well they can't have that many because he needs to also send some to DG in order to not piss off DG... but here's the thing.

Know why they can't send out as much as they want? It's not the product, its not the production facilities... it's the packaging. He said they couldn't get enough packaging. Jars, bottles whatever.

When you pointed out OI yesterday, I had a feeling it would have a good quarter after having read what McCormick said. It's up 6% on the incredible report.

It would seem to me, our beloved Berry should do well too. Balance sheet looks fine, 7X EV/Ebitda, 4.5X cashflow, 1.6% divy...
solid.

Whatcha think Stoney!!!
We gonna juice the Berry?
