Conversing with fam and friends this weekend it "seems" XMAS is shaping up to be *very* practical. Not underwear, socks, and Olive Garden gift card practical, but rather practical as in life happens adjustments....
Like prime memberships, auto maintainance, gasoline gift cards, grocery gift cards, wellness/weightloss program subscriptions, Meal kit subscriptions, MintMobile annual prepaid smartphone service, etc etc etc.

I think you get the gist of where Im at. Many companies in this sphere are private.
I'm guessing you have at least an overall opinion on the idea and perhaps a pick or two.

As for this trade, nothing is screaming at me. But my own holiday shopping may include a few high dollar grocery gift cards.
A meaningless side note... In August I switched to MintMobile (T-mobile), prepaid for one year. No service problems in my area, and no monthly bill! Very cool.

I think there will be a lot of deals this Xmas.
These companies are now sitting on tons of inventory.
As for Xmas presents, ya know what makes a really nice present if you have kids or grandkids and you don't mind spending a little money, one of those bed in a box mattresses like Purple. We bought two last year as gifts. I bet they get heavily discounted this year too. Lots of competition in that sector. Great beds though. The stock sucks however.

Tbh, I don't like any retail stocks going into this holiday season, for that reason. Even Stoney's OLLI which he was shouting about last week at $57... https://elitetrader.com/et/threads/gba-presents-radio-savant.367042/page-706#post-5677753 I've been saying all along is a good short. From the mid $60's. And they get their inventory from overstocks. It was $51 earlier today.

Let me think about it some. I'll find something.

I was up in Ct and this Grace Jones song came on... and I was just blown away. I know a lot of Grace and have worked with her when I was at Warhol, filmed her, but this song I may be putting too much into it but I hear a song about being a step child and having a little different blood in you... I'm that way in a way.... my last name is the name of my step father but I have the Hinds blood in me. Big Time.>
