I bought a bunch of Major Drilling ( miners drilling equip. ; MDI on TSX ) which had strong earnings this morning. Dropped for no reason this morning then caught a lot of volume buying so I jumped in around $8.53 Cdn. Might be a lower risk way to play miners in this environment. Short term goal would be $10 unless this Gold/Silver move spikes. I bet it closes around $9 today; entry could have been better but it trades thin and I missed the turn doing other things.

Where we are in the market.
The market was plunging and the analyst on TV was smiling. We have to have that flush before we can become more blah blah blah.
That sentiment is out there. Normally in a bad sharp correction iIwould agree. Bear markets are different. We've been through this before... they just wear you out. It's like after the bear rips you apart then he just plays with your remains for a while...
So if this guy and a bunch of guys are waiting for a flush, that flush may not happen.
Sept is the worst month. How many times have we heard that this go around. Sept will not be the worst month.
How do we get a rally going?
Well we may not have to do anything. Europe money may start buying here as we get that "only game in town " glow for while. Today for the 1st time I heard that sentiment from two European traders.
The best asset to target now from the Gov's point of view is the US dollar-- that Goes Down Stocks Go UP<--- Every Algo knows that. And in times past we have seen the gov use it's fire power in the oil patch..now it's time to lean against the dollar. YELLEN <--- DO SOMETHING!
Bit of a softer tone put out there today by a Fd head but I was hoping for that tomorrow whEn the main man speaks.. so the way THESE things work, HE now he can be hawkish again... not what we need.
This next rate hike is so interesting. How the market behaves in front of it will play a roll.
If we can generate a FOMO rally into the meeting .75 it is. If we don't like what we see in the CPI and the market does go lower .50 it is.
People say the Fed wants to target stocks that is not true. The Fed wants stocks stable to higher.
We don't need a Fed proving itself or getting respect, they got all of that out of the last meeting.
We are not going to doubt the Fed until inflation stops going down around 6% and we realize yikes we are in trouble. By then earn estimates will have come down and the table will be set for stagflation.
I think the Fed can go .50

On September 7, 2022, Apple Inc. (“Partner”) announced new satellite-enabled services for certain of its products (the “Services”). Globalstar, Inc. (“Globalstar” or the “Company”) will be the satellite operator for the Services pursuant to the terms agreement (the “Terms Agreement”) first disclosed in the Company’s Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2019, and certain related ancillary agreements (such agreements, together with the Terms Agreement, the “Partnership Agreements”).
