Highly controversial. Benny is in blackface for god's sake. But this show was super important to me. I liked Monte Python but Benny Hill had a certain off the charts wackoism.

I hated the Benny Hill show. It was Monty Python for British losers who didn't understand their own sophisticated style of humor. All they did was high-speed film of slapstick.
 
I was such a Python nerd I had some records! My favorite was the play by play of the poetry contest? It's a rare bit. I think Oscar Wild and he can't get a sentence together and the crowd noise... It's all misty. Why do we get old?
