  • Sonim Technologies (NASDAQ:SONM) rallies 27.2% higher premarket after it announced purchase orders worth $9.5M from a top U.S. carrier customer.
  • The purchase orders cover initial stocking inventory for two of the company's next-generation ultra-rugged phones to be introduced in 2022 – the XP5 Plus feature phone with enhanced PTT capabilities and Sonim's next-generation XP10 5G rugged smartphone.
  • The XP5 Plus is expected to be available this summer, and Sonim's new XP10 rugged 5G smartphone device is expected to begin shipments in the fall.

  • Sonim Technologies (NASDAQ:SONM) rallies 57.3% higher premarket after it announced multiple additional purchase orders worth 6.4 M for stocking inventory of Sonim's upcoming XP5plus feature phone with enhanced PTT capabilities and Sonim's next-generation XP10 5G rugged smartphone.
  • The orders are from a top U.S. carrier customer and two Canadian carriers, adding to earlier announced initial stocking orders for $9.5M on these devices from a top U.S. carrier.
  • The XP5plus is expected to be available later this summer; shipments of the new XP10 rugged 5G smartphone device are expected to begin in the fall of 2022.
 
lol- I had a moment when I was into " rugged " tech- Don't ask. I was buying very bulky and army-like tech companies I cannot bring any of them to mind at the moment. One made these laptops that could survive a mine blast even if it's operator did not.

There was this little phone company that made Android phones that were extreemly rugged and marketed them to firemen and such...

And as you can see the company has now in the past three months has " surged " & " skyrocketed " and is still a .60 cent stock.....

Relatively new CEO-->CEO in Tom Wilkinson,

the new CEO didn’t speak directly about specific customers, reading between the conference call lines, existing customer T-Mobile/Sprint announced they were going to increase their exposure to the public safety market.

Wilkinson said of the firm’s phones, ‘it’s truly the strongest offering in this space for public safety. So it would be natural for anybody who is taking public safety seriously to be focused on our phones.’
