Hey Stoney, for real on GME, don't dismiss this thing as a garbage stock. NFT's are a big deal, and not just for stupid things. There's no doubt GME is fundamentally overpriced, but the folks that own the stock are as devout as the TSLA hodl'rs. Some are pretty well versed on the future of NFT's. Even @unconventional wisdom here said NFT's will disrupt many of the existing ways enterprise and govt do business. Your car title, nft. House deed, nft. There are dozens of things. Not sure what GME has up their sleeve, but I doubt this will follow in the footsteps of Radio Shack.

The stock to buy for your IRA's and other is Aerojet Rocketdyne. This is a name I am extremely close to having covered it for ten or so years. There was a big huge board fight with an agitator and our female CEO beat him to the ground and won.!<---- AJRD also coughed up a $9 mil fine to DOJ... I would say the decks are cleared.
I don't expect anyone reading this to remember but there was a take out deal for this company about a year ago that was broken up for anti trust concerns... The belief here is that Private equity will buy this company and until then they are in a good place.

Ford’s equity investment in Rivian was valued at $5.1B at the end of the first-quarter and it was because of Rivian’s stock under-performance in Q1’22 that Ford had to record a$5.4B mark-to-market losslast quarter.
Rivian’s stock valuation has dropped approximately 49% in the second-quarter which means that fair value accounting rules require Ford to report another billion-dollar equity valuation loss for Q2’22. Ford did address itsRivian problemby selling shares in the second-quarter, reducing its exposure to the EV company by approximately 15M shares. The car brand still retained a considerable position in Rivian totaling 86,947,494 shares and the remaining share block was worth approximately $2.2B at the end of the second-quarter. Because of the continual decline in Rivian’s share price and considering stock sales that have occurred in May, Ford is set to reveal an impairment loss exceeding $2.0B for Q2'22.
My instinct is to buy off any earnings day weakness, but we shall see.

I am putting together a market prediction missive but I really have zero idea.--
My initial thoughts long ago I stick with -- I felt S&P 3,800 was a fair level for a shallow recession. And all of my work does show we will get that shallow (hopefully) recession but quite a bit later on than the pros think.
So that leaves me in a bit of afix. We are at fair value for something that is not here yet...
If Inflation is the boogie man and it is what does that mean for corporate earn? Well folks have not thought this trough yet- In my view Earnings will be artificially supported by this same horrible inflation. Yes the cost is passed on to the consumer.
So In my view 4,200- 4,400 S&P can be achieved. I did get another update from the TA guy at Big Pete's firm that I have not looked at. They get me depressed... I may come back with an entirely different view!
But that's where my head is at-- we are at fair value now and could go higher from here.
