I need some time to get my thoughts together so I can give you all a proper review.
As a very intense Biotech investor over thirty years I am intimately hooked into the sector.

Purely on a sector call Biotech is due to move. You can probably buy one of those stupid indexes.

But more important to me is over the past week we have had some earth shattering biotech news. News that should be celebrated and a heck of lot more than what I have seen.

First we had the news about T cell therapy curing Pancreatic cancer in a women. And I love the beauty of the therapy taking your own cells out re charging them and setting them loose... you are part of the process.

That therapy targets a certain Gene receptor I have to go back through my notes here to get you the name.. and that same gene is targeted in MRTX's lung cancer drug which is going head to head with Amgen.

Then one of these major drug co's just developed a world class obesity drug. was it Glasko? This was last night they amount of weight loss is equal to gastric bypass surgery! Intense amount! Huge breakthrough (GSK?) I dare say $3Billlion dollar drug!

Then we have tiny SQZ which is developing a method of delivering drugs through a squeezed area and more precise and also works with the gene receptor in question.

Then today in the paper, earth shattering news about 11 patients with colon cancer all being cured. 11 for 11. That's another big drug co but the beauty of the story is no one would run the trials but this little tiny biotech who got bought by oneof the big drug Co's and they didn't even realize they had this trial going on..and Wham a cure if you are early and have a certain type,.

Anyway this is just a primer -- we might have to start a new thread that specializes in Botech.

This Battle Against cancer .. we may be turning a corner!!! and that is the huge GBA announcement!!!!

I've written several posts here over the years similar to this one:

Biotech.
We're at the tip of the iceberg.
More diseases will be figured out in the next 10 years than in the entire history of mankind.

Waited and waited and the sector hasn't budged. Maybe its day has finally arrived.
I really do believe this. Technology has given us autonomous automobiles. I mean they're not street ready quite yet, but the computational power required to make millions and millions of calculations like that per second.... that same power now exists in biotech too. There's no telling how far we can go.

Question is, in the US at least, can Social Security afford to let people live an average of ten or more years longer? It's pretty much a failed program. So they say. Throw in robots doing more and more jobs, and Social Security will be losing revenue on the bottom end. Too many old people and not enough young wage earners to support the system. Big problem.

It's such a bad name and bad idea isn't it? It fees like they are running away from facebook before an election.. I don't like the change. Meta is stupid.
Agree.

Stupid name, idea and platform itself.

Wonder with Sandberg retiring will bugeye have to step forward and be the face outfront or we he give someone else a couple of bill to do that instead?
