I told you didn't I? Something stupid. And I didn't even follow the story.
They make 2 million tons of powdered baby formula every month and ship it around the world... and less than 5 kids get sick (literally), the company moves instantly, does the right thing, and recalls millions of dollars in formula on the one in a million chance there might be something wrong... and the US govt comes in and shuts down the whole friggin' plant for what has been 3 months now. Bureaucracy at it's finest.
Either way, I told you how it would play out this week Stoney.

Anyway.... I also heard all the same experts saying recession 2025.

You can mark this post Stoney. We're at the tip of the iceberg. I don't care what the Q's do, or the S&P.... because they are controlled by six stocks at best, and those six stocks are controlled by algo's sporting and fueled by 100's of billions of aum battling each other out... but hear what I say.... in the real world this stuff is gonna start hitting home real soon with 70% (+/- a bit) of the US population.
Home Depot, Walmart, Lowes, and several others will all report soon.
You watch.... if they haven't already, they are going to lower their forecasts.... and watch out below. Oh they'll all say "the consumer is strong"... because that's what they do... but watch how they lower the estimates.

Based on what I have seen of the foot traffic lately? I think the LOW HD results will be good, with a good forecast for the next quarter, based on the severe desire to get the gardens going.
Walmart? I dunno'. Seems a more pandemic play. Are we getting less people to the stores because of the increase in the variants from this past quarter? Toss-up on that one.
At best they'll raise revenue guidance and maintain bottom line guidance.
Of course they're busy. Home sales have been on fire. Revenues will go up because prices have gone up. People have no choice. When you need a new faucet, what are ya gonna do? Not many choices are there now?
Talk about pricing power, they have it.
So yeah, they'll have a good report, but it's what's written between the lines that matters.
