Stoney... where are you in Abbott at? I know you wanted to get in at $116 and I said wait for $108, I think you might have gotten in around there right?
And last week I said that would be ok, but perhaps wait for $98.
Long term you'll be fine,
but here's what's going to happen this week.
Abbott is rarely in the news. At the moment however, we've arrived at that rare juncture where a granny stock meets a the world of a story stock.
I'm pretty sure Abbott is gonna spike nicely tomorrow. Our previously below the radar low key stock that most of the herd has never knew existed except for a few shrewd value PM's out there has all the sudden fell into the limelight.
The herd will look at its fall from $140 (where yours truly told the world it was time to sell btw) , and its even more recent fall that you bought into from $120 and below, ... and in their stupid little brains concoct some hypothesis that this was all because of baby food. They'll see that the plant in Michigan is opening back up and the herd will start buying.
As someone who has owned this stock on and off from around $28ish, I pretty much know how it acts.
If it gets anywhere's near $119 this week.... dump it.
You'll be able to get in at $98 later.
Take the quick win.
ABT is going up near term, but it'll be lower next quarter.
3 Years from now it will be nicely higher I'm sure.
But in the next quarter or so... $98 or below. Barring any new covid variants or outbreaks.
Take any pops above $118.
If it doesn't get there, close it by Wednesday PM either way.
You're welcome Stoney. You won't get this enlightenment anywhere else.
