I prefer Endeavour Silver and Silvercrest. Today I sold one of two positions in MDI at $9 and bought Silvercrest at $8.05. So far not good but most TSX commodity stocks are underplaying the commodity strength especially the silver miners. Something has to give either way last 10-15 minutes I expect some late buying. I'm also considering OceanaGold / Copper Mountain / others if I can get the rest of MDI sold at my target today. Basically lower daily range and try to catch a move. The tricky part about Fortuna and others is they have mines in politically unstable situations right now ( and some cost overruns ) but the rewards can be strong and sudden because they are dirt cheap in theory ( eg Argonaut Gold up as much as 13% today on triple normal volume ).

Still trades unless we get serious strength on one or more commodities. If Silver runs over $20 might be super interesting but I don't understand why a 5%+ move today is hardly moving the stocks.

The earnings update will be the first since the company was added to the small-cap Russell 2000 and the broad-market Russell 3000 indices in late June.

Some of my names are now starting to show up at IBD- A good sign.

In the market's current volatility, Arista Networks (ANET), DoubleVerify (DV), Pure Storage (PSTG) and Restaurant Brands (QSR) — as well as Dow Jones stock Chevron (CVX) — are among the top stocks to buy and watch. Keep in mind the market's increased volatility is a good reason for investors to be more defensive, although last week's gains were constructive.

DoubleVerify is a new IBD Leaderboard stock, while Pure Storage is an IBD SwingTrader stock. ;)
