HD might get a little bounce now, but all in all, the whales are heading out to sea for the summer. Selling calls and buying puts on the S&P before they leave.
Watch what happens as more retail B&M report, the lights come on and the bids dry up.

THIS IS WHAT IS GOING ON-

The economy is slowing. The Fed is raising rates at a 50 BP clip.

Some idiots were all upset at no 75 but the Chair has set them straight with some incredible jawboning that has left many of us quite impressed. Sure he made some boneheaded moves but this shift to 50's is genius. And something we should of done in the last rate raise cycle that never got anywhere.

There was a time when 50 would shock the market now it is the norm! Bravo!

Now back to the economy cooling. We can plot out now much less rate raises at least 3 less.
Powell speaks today and he will let the market know that reaching his goal on real ratesmight take three or four 50 BP moves and then a pause. As the economy comes in they meet in a good place and that's how soft landings are made.

The hefty 2.0% March U.S. business inventory rise 10:45 $ECON The hefty 2.0% March U.S. business inventory rise after an unrevised 1.5% February gain beat assumptions, and it left a 6-month string of the largest increases since 2011. The upside inventory surprise reflected a 2.3% retail inventory rise that beat the 2.0% advance estimate, after a revised 1.6% (was 1.5%) February gain. Inventories remain tight despite big nominal gains each month as inventories chase sales, and all the measures are lifted by huge price gains. Analysts now expect an upward Q1 GDP growth revision to -1.3% from the -1.4% advance figure, with an $15 (was $10) B boost to inventories. Analysts previously expected boosts of $12 B for imports, $2 B boost for exports, and $9 B for consumption, and downward revisions of -$3 B for equipment spending and a -$4 B for nonresidential construction. Analysts still expect Q2 GDP growth of 3.6%, with a -$46 B inventory subtraction that leaves a $113 B accumulation rate, after an estimated -$19.5 (was -34.5) B subtraction in Q1.

And when did you advise the readers to buy JMIA? As far as I recall you only pointed it out and asked me. Those options didn't mean anything. So it went up. 45% of the float is short.
