CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a man in connection with the deadly shooting of a restaurant employee in downtown Charleston.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department responded to Toast All Day off King Street just before midnight on Tuesday after receiving multiple calls about shots being fired in the area.

At the scene, investigators located a male victim who was lying near the rear entrance of the restaurant suffering from a gunshot wound. The person was later identified by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office as 64-year-old Gaber Baghdady of Hanahan.

During an investigation into the deadly shooting, investigators determined that a male had entered the location and confronted Baghdady, who was an employee at that location, in an attempt to commit an armed robbery.

dumb ass
The suspect was identified as Antwan Lamont Scott, who was a former employee of the restaurant group. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Magnitude 3.3 earthquake reported in South Carolina
Scott is facing murder, attempted armed robbery, second-degree burglary, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He is expected in bond court Thursday afternoon.

Charleston neighbors and business owners are reacting to the incident.

“It’s always front-page news when it happens,” said Malcolm Chester, a Charleston neighbor. “It’s kind of crazy that this crime is coming to King Street. I don’t know what’s causing it or why it’s happening.”

Woody Norris, who owns Booze Pops a block away from where the shooting happened, says he has a solution to the crime issues.

“We want to protect everyone as much as possible. We try to take every measure there is for safety,” said Norris. “We need safe zones. A well-lit area, a phone to contact the police department and maybe a safety officer at these zones helping and able to respond.”

" I'm shocked and dismayed my Son is coming here to go to college. This freaks me out "

GEVO!???
You put that out as a #1 idea north of $4 last month and told me to buy some last week at $2.50.
I just looked, it closed at $2.45

If the children bought in when it was a "#1 idea">>> OUCH
Yea I know... you didn't say "go time". But when you did last week, it never budged.
$100K? I don't think so.

Besides, how can something be a number one idea, and then get a 40% haircut. One would think, if it's a number one idea, it's hoovering pretty close to the "go time". :banghead:

What if I told you I have a stock that is over it's 200 day and 50 day-how many can say that?

50-Day Moving Average 56.94
200-Day Moving Average 55.38

I bet you can guess the name... for it's in our RADIO SAVANT PORTFOLIO-!

The savant's incredible pick BYDDF maybe?----->

CSX It Is Van! I'll buy tomorrow.

still need two more.

I'd wait for $27 in this market.
The good news is, if you do buy today, you won't lose 40% like GEVO.
CSX is a longer term hold.
A safe granny stock with a dividend.

But if we must have garbage stocks that we can hail savantness with when they jump a few pennies and that equates to a huge %, today lets use BBIG

BBIG----> $1.53
Buy it at $1.37 today

Darling Ingredients Inc. (DAR)- we have been following: is only $3 off it's high. ! Now I'm not so sure we ever get a pull back.

83.87+0.17(+0.20%)
At close: June 3 04:00PM EDT
84.76+0.89(+1.06%)
Pre-Market:07:00AM EDT

Looks like it did pull back.
Is this one of the powerhouse winners?
This thing is $63 now.
Another 25% haircut for the children.

Stoney... maybe stick to picking NFL stuff, because stocks aren't working. :p
*I only say that because you brag so much.
Average picker at best.

Uh oh= VAN-!

BYD Company faces consumer backlash over battery recall - Reuters

BYD Company (OTCPK:BYDDY) is facing an unhappy consumer base voicing discontent with an opaque battery recall.

According to Reuters, the Warren Buffett-backed EV company is under fire from customers that have urged regulators to review the company’s recent battery recall and ensure it is wide enough in scope and transparent in implementation. At issue is the swapping of defective batteries without being subject to official recall, the report indicates, with consumers angered over a “secret recall.”

The vehicle in question is one of the automaker’s most popular models, the Tang DM-i plug-in hybrid sport utility vehicle. Per Chinese state-backed outlet China Daily, the April recall covered 9,663 vehicles equipped with an uneven mounting surface of the venting valve in the power pack tray due to faulty manufacturing.

This manufacturing issue posed a significant fire risk, according to state regulators. Indeed, many fires in BYD (OTCPK:BYDDY) vehicles have permeated Chinese social media. However, the authenticity of these videos were unable to be confirmed.

Nonetheless, the latest issue with battery recalls adds to a prior issue with factory emissions that drew the attention of state regulators and served as incredibly poor PR for the company.

Closed it at $41, as written.

we added it at $27.
BYDDF keeps hitting new highs. Nipped at $42 before there was some profit taking.
I closed at $41 for now.
We rode VIVO from $27 to almost $32 and took the profit.

.

CSX a longer term hold we are not looking for that. Longer term the market is going down isn't it?

Do you have anything for the portfolio that could go up in say two months?
