At 12:41 EST, we saw a Benzinga alert cross the newswires after some rather unusual options activity in the GEVO July expiration series, with someone coming into the market and buying 2,350 contracts of the July 15, 2022 $2.50 calls at $0.35 each, representing a notional value of $82,250.

Huge User Base
One remarkable aspect is the total user base of 700M+ registered users, of which only 17.09M are paying users. That's a conversion rate of ~2.5%. Dropbox takes initiatives to monetize these free users. It introduced a lower-priced "Backup" plan and worked on the user experience.

It doesn't show yet in the numbers. The conversion rate in 2018 was roughly the same, with 500M+ users and 12.3M paying users.

It's a huge opportunity but hard to leverage with lots of competition from similar platforms like OneDrive from Microsoft (MSFT), Google Drive from Alphabet (GOOG,GOOGL), and Box (BOX).

With the price of diesel currently averaging $5.82 a gallon, filling the 150-gallon tank of a motorized RV runs about $873 — a princely sum given that RVs typically get no more than about 10 mpg.

RVs come in three types, including one resembling a large bus, another that's akin to a camper, and non-motorized, towable models.

Of the more than 600,000 RVs produced in the U.S. last year, about 90% were smaller, lightweight and towable with a medium-size SUV.

These companies are a dime a dozen. I wouldn't touch it in this market. too expensive.
I doubt it'll see north of $25 ever again
 
BofA analyst Mariana Mora initiated coverage of PLTR stock with a buy rating and price target of 13.

"We see Palantir as a beneficiary of rapidly growing demand for AI-platforms in both commercial and government end-markets," Mora said in a note to clients. "Palantir's dominant position in the AI-powered software market, differentiated end-to-end and highly-secure solutions and first-mover advantages should support more than 30% annual revenue expansion and improving profits in the midterm."

PLTR Stock Was Down 55% For 2022
Meanwhile, Palantir stock had dived nearly 55% in 2022 as of Friday's market close. A software benchmark, the iShares Expanded Tech-Software ETF (IGV), has contracted 34% in 2022.

Software growth stocks that traded at the highest multiples of forward-looking revenue, such as Palantir, have been the hardest hit.

"Year to date, Palantir continues to derate, in line with the software peer group, as rising inflation and interest rate concerns impact high-multiple stocks," said Mora.

She added, "We think PLTR stock has not benefited from the recent defense re-rating despite significant U.S. national security exposure. We expect U.S. and allies' defense budgets to grow with increased focus on modernization. Data is a strategic asset and national security agencies have to make sure they operationalize it securely to better defend from near peer threats like Russia or China."

It's the same problem TWTR has, but unlike TWTR, Google offers the same product, free and paid, and so does Microsoft. Who wants to buy a company that provides a commoditized product at 3.5X next year's revenues and go head to head with Google and MSFT.

You've been pitching this thing since $25. It was $22.50 the last time you mentioned it.

WHY ARE YOU ADVISING THE CHILDREN TO BUY A DYING TECH STOCK IN A BEAR MARKET?!!!
