the bottled tea company he started in his Bethesda kitchen 24 years prior and grew into a global brand. His wife, Julie Farkas, asked him if he’d do it all over again.
His answer? Kicking aside his disappointment and frustration … yes, he would.
“The goal was to democratize organic,” Goldman said in an interview Wednesday about the business, which sold an organic, less sweet, fair-trade product. “We did that in a way that hadn’t been done before.”
Goldman co-founded Honest Tea with Yale University professor Barry Nalebuff in 1998. A decade later, Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) bought a 40% stake and, in 2011, acquired the rest of the business. Goldman remained CEO until 2015 and “TeaEO Emeritus” until 2019 when he stepped away. Then Coca-Cola moved the business line from Bethesda to Atlanta with an intention to grow it.
So now, he said, “it’s a lot to digest, and I haven’t fully digested it.”

After Coca-Cola reached out to Goldman recently about winding down Honest Tea, ahead of its public announcement, he said he went on a long run “just to really process it.”
Coca-Cola has announced it’s “prioritizing fewer, bigger brands with the greatest potential for scale and profitable growth.”

It depends what is priced in. I have a real problem with that phrase it some ways the market prices nothing in. Bear Markets don't really have bottoms so much as ranges. Bear markets wear you out. So far it has not paid to yip the dip with a rip.. Buy On The Dip as it were... Is leadership changing? <---If you just go off market PE-EPS growth rate- then 4400 S&P is really the ultimate max on this move.>
Keep in mind the Fed's path... we are set up for a Pause in SEPT <--- Why? They don't want to be blamed for a crash in Oct. Is it that simple? I'm afraid yes.
