Gangster thuggery government

And if you cant afford it, they you are left on the street to die, lets not mention that.

Oh look, the Japs and Swiss dont' have perfect systems so let me pay double now or die!

Die????

Liberal nut job vernacular.

Further, the 0bomba administration is perfectly willing to hold back health care services to the elderly on there death bed. Hypocritical?

How is waiting 18 weeks extreme? Unless you are the one waiting.

WTF, you have no idea what you are talking about. Have you ever lived outside of the USA?

What the swiss have is very much like what America has now. Subsidies for lower income families and individuals, everyone who can pay, does. The swiss probably have the highest standards of care in the world, and their system is absolutely not single payer. Ever been to switzerland? I didn't think so...

Obamacare is far more of a powergrab than the swiss model, so quit acting like they are.

And the right wing works by highlighting the extreme negative aspects forgetting the fact that Canadians spend half on healthcare than their US counterparts, ofcourse you will have more MRI machines. And if you cant afford it, they you are left on the street to die, lets not mention that.

I know of thousands of employees of a large corp who will lose their current doctor and their current coverage once this goes into effect and be dumped into the exchange. Too bad they don't know that.

Not to mention my good friend who runs the whole health and benny program of said company will be out of a job.

Costs are going down they say...lol!

In the US, if you cant afford it, you dont wait - you go off and die. Nothing wrong with that scenario?

Quote from Mnphats:

I hope everything turned out ok for your father. Lucky they even found the aneurysm, most people walk around not knowing.

He found out by pure fluke, his whole face went numb one day, and he didnt know what it was, he isnt one for going to the hospital, but his wife made him go because she thought he was having a stroke, they did the initial tests where he drank something, which appeared on an xray and they found them. Turns out his face going numb was just a pinched nerve in his jaw.

Then he had to go for an MRI to find exactly where they were located, which is what made me mad that it took four months, if something would have happened in that time and he would have died when it was operable it would have made me incredibly angry. And this is a perfect example of how broken Canada's healthcare system is.

Nothing they can do to operate on them unfortunately, but he can prolong his life through diet and quitting smoking/drinking, and it really doesnt bug him to much, when they pop he dies, its instant and painless, so it was kind of nice to atleast figure out they were there so me and him could make peace with each other and say what we need to say. He could live 10 years, he could die tomorrow, you just never know, so luike you said if was pure fluke and actually a blessing to find them. Most people dont get the chance, and dont find out that a loved one had an anneurism until they drop dead unexpectedly one day.

Who is talking about Obamacare, I was pointing out the inefficiencies in the current system and the fact that no healthcare system is perfect.

Since public option is socialism, rising cost is a good price for 'freedumbs'.

Bullshit, in the USA, if you can't afford it, you are on Medicare or Medicaid. Even if you are too incompetent to fill out the paperwork to get on said programs, it's illegal for any hospital to refuse you treatment if you have an urgent need.
