would never tell you to piss off for asking a question. To answer, I live in Miami and have been in situations were I have felt uncomfortable, which I wouldn't if I was carrying. I agree with you, 10 minutes is too long to wait for backup.

Miami is messed up - not as bad up here in Tampa, but I've got a really good friend (Cuban, also - not that this has anything to do with it, just coincidence) who carries everywhere and hates that he has to, but won't give it up because he's afraid he'll need it.

El C can speak for Miami, but Tampa is limited to a few sections of town. St. Pete can be nasty, too. From what I understand, Miami is bad all over - but there are a few places that you just don't go unless you can fit in demographically.

I've noticed that Orlando has turned into a complete hellhole...I spent a decent amount of time there 20 years ago and many of the areas that were white middle class/upper middle class have turned into ghetto's...
