Futures vs Equity Trading

Consider trading the TF (Russell 2K e-mini) instead of the ES. It has more bang for the buck and trends better than the ES. You don't have to trade more than 2 at a time to make a very nice living.

The 6E (Euro Dollar futures) is a great scalping contract. It takes about an 8 pip initial risk for a 10-20 pip reward.

Best advice I could give is to go all-in / all-out on your scalps and add to winners when you're looking for 2+ pt TF trends. If you build a position, then you're always going to be holding your smallest number of contracts on each initial position. This will allow you to have smaller winning pcts and increase your odds of surviving.

Get used to losing. You'll do a lot of that. That's why it's best to come up with a plan which allows you to win in the long-term even if you only have 30-50% winners.

oh yes NJ1000, something that hasn't been mentioned, the Sell

not sure how many equity traders sell - Short Sell stocks regularly but the nomenclature
of futures trading is Buy, Sell, Close: Buy the futures contract, Sell the futures contract
and when exiting the trade, Close (the Buy), Close (the Sell)
there's no additional or different margin requirements in order to Sell futures contracts but
if Shorting hasn't been a part of your equities trading then it's something you'll need to
take into account as it constitutes 50% of most futures traders' trading
and
no idea about other order entry/charting programs but NinjaTrader with 'Chart Mode' enabled
has a REV button - positioned next to the CLOSE button for obvious reasons -
". . . will close the current open position and open a reverse position."

Quote from intradaybill:

(2) Futures trading success relies heavily on efficient executions plus on the understanding of price action that comes mainly with experience but also though the use of very advanced tools (NNs, data mining, GP, etc.).

What are NNs and GP?

Can you speak on the use of these tools?
