I know it sucks, but at least you have a chance then. Maybe make a deal with yourself that you can move back to the full contract after making 100 points per contract on MES.

Day 8: Another day another loss. Got caught up in chop. Didn't realize until mid way. Very slow tape/auction trying to figure out what it wants to do.
Was doing well until I got sloshed on the liquidation break at 11am ET/8am PT(chart) . I had stops but it blew past my level on that break.
Looks like this week is just not my week.
*On a side note- I've seen these 1, 2, 3 weak high setups in the past many times before and it breaks down when the tape is slow/weak. I will remember this setup for future references going forward.

I'd like to add that I usually perform well when volatility is high vs low volatility and a chop environment

One thing I should have done better was realize earlier through looking at other indicies, that we are in chop and I should just shut down the computer. Trying to time the breakout is hard. And it's much easier to join the breakout after it has done so.
My streak of winning/performing well was during semi high volatility 1/25- 2/5.
Going forward, I will objectively assess what type of environment we are in terms of volatility wise and play smaller based on the VX futures chart.

Next thing you know, Goldman Sachs finds the secret and...well it gets ugly.
Day 9: Finally a little green for the week 
Was pretty rough, I had a bullish thesis which was correct but kept getting juked by fakeouts and shakeouts. I kind of believe market wants to make new ATH's today but I have to go to work soon so closed out my last position on a juke at 719.
The 6am PT - 9am ET bottom was the low for ES....but not for NQ so I got smashed at the open. Had it been ES, I would have been sitting comfortable all day.
I also got juked at the 1-2-3 top that formed yesterday on ES as well. I saw it while it was forming and was saying to myself becareful.....and sure enough got a huge liquidation selloff after 3rd high which stopped me out of my big profits/position. Thankfully I was able to buy the 670's which made back for the loss.
