Fulltime trader loner?

Socially well adjusted person makes friends all the time, at the gym, golf course, kids sporting events, on vacations, friends of friends, your neighbours, your wife's friends husbands etc.. It sounds like you may have a reserved personality.

well hell, if you can do that, why not just be a broker or a salesman?

like we had a broker in the office, and he was a real bear, couldn't even go long unless he shorted puts, but he couldn't put anything on unless he got somebody to go in on it with him

1) if you are incapable of checking your own work,
2) if you lack attention to detail,
3) if you are a weak, indisciplined character,
4)if you need someone else to motivate you to do your best work,

You would be best advised not to work alone.

I don't think he is trying to insult anyone - He is describing what he has learned from his personal experience. If you disagree, fine. Tell us more about what you have learned, rather than assume something negative about someone else - a poster who in just the past week has added some extremely valuable insight to this site.

If he has added valuable insight, that's wonderful. That's not what we are discussing here.

Justrading, why are you commenting on this forum if you don't care what other people think?

You, through your own words and attitude, are proving the very points you're trying to dispute.

You are influenced by others and you depend on that influence, otherwise you wouldn't be here.
