Oh come on, Conservatives don't hate progress for the most part and hate educated masses. Why do you say such silly things?

Conservatives - true conservatives - want to be left alone, want government out of their lives, and want the country they know and love to remain the country they know and love - as far as their lives are concerned. What is so bad about that?

Liberals want to tax us, tell us what we can or cannot say, force us to follow their rules because our rules offend someone (in their camp), and want to reallocate our money to causes they feel are worthwhile. Add to that they want us to embrace a culture that isn't ours for the benefit of the "few". When we don't do that, we are immediately labeled racist, or sexist, or a bigot, etc.

If conservatives are such individual freedom lovers, why don'y they leave women's bodies alone or not try to prove that a stem cell is just a valuable as a human being (exaggerating a bit, but you get the point).

Look which states most of innovation is coming from or where most of GDP is generated.

The argument regarding abortion isn't about the freedom of the woman so much as it is to protect a child which doesn't have a voice in the discussion. The argument is one that is over when life begins. I am a conservative, and I am pro choice. I am not pro choice when it comes to late term abortion. That is abhorrent.
