Forex market hours and start of day

I trade the New York session because it is known for its high liquidity, plus I trade only pairs having USD, so this session suits me. However, I can only spare 2 hours due to my shift.
Try trading when the New York and the UK trading sessions overlap (if you get time). The liquidity is a lot higher during this time.

I prefer trading between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon EST. As I trade EUR/USD and at the above specified time the New York and London sessions overlap, offering high liquidity.

The 8 a.m. to noon overlap of the New York and London exchanges is usually the best trading time. It is the time when 50% of the trading market is active.

The forex market's capacity to trade 24 hours a day is owing in part to numerous international time zones, hence they are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Also, the fact that most of the trading is conducted globally, gives them more exposure, whether international or local, allowing them to be available for daily transactions. Although, I find London session time to be better to start my trading of the day.
